We are always looking for enthusiastic and motivated scientists. Projects in the laboratory will allow you to use and develop your skills in programming, instrumentation engineering, microscopy, electrophysiology, and genetics. We especially encourage applications from individuals that enjoy applying engineering approaches to understand the brain.
EPFL, along with ETHZ, are two premier polytechnic universities in Switzerland: scientific environments that focus on the quantitative sciences and engineering. Therefore, if you are enthusiastic about the use and development of new tools to study fundamental problems in biology, feel free to email the Laboratory directly with your CV, Specific Research Interests, and the names and contact information for three professional references.
Interested students are encouraged to apply to the lab via the EPFL’s Graduate Programs in Neuroscience, Bioengineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or Molecular Life Sciences depending on their training and areas of scientific interest. Feel free to email the Laboratory directly in advance to discuss potential thesis projects. Due to the volume of applicants, I will not respond unless you provide your CV, Bachelor & Masters Grades, and Specific Research Interests for performing a PhD in the Neuroengineering Laboratory.
There are always opportunities for Semester and Master’s Projects in the Laboratory. See the list here. Please email the Laboratory directly with your CV, Bachelor and Master grades, hours of availability and research interests.
There are always opportunities for Bachelors Projects in the Laboratory. Please email the Laboratory directly with your CV, Bachelor grades, hours of availability and specific research interests.
